Doritos - With a great super bowl ad last year created by two brothers as a part a challenge, the strategy of crowd sourcing is definitely paying off for Doritos. It has found a good way to keep itself relevant and engaged with its target audience. No fancy ad agencies here, only the best ideas from aspiring creative individuals. Ideas that are witty and spicy. And this is my favorite one.
Google - Yup Google has done it again. They made us change the way we think about search and now about the Super bowls ads. No celebrities, no fancy gimmicks and no lame jokes. Their spot was clean and simple and the best part is that it will have a lasting impact on the mind of the consumers.
Coca-Cola – Since Pepsi was out of the game this year. Coke did not waste a minute to remind people why it’s still the real thing and world’s best brand. The Simpson’s spot was my favorite.
Snickers – I think this ad pretty much summed up what a great spot could be. Snickers positioning as the best candy bar is well communicated with this funny and focused ad. Plus who doesn’t like Betty White playing football?
